Also Included is Scale Finder:
Scale Finder is intended for guitarists that are learning to improvise and serves as a valuable tool to work out scales and keys.

It also lists 14 chords with which you can construct a progression to jam in the key you've selected. This is great for jamming with a friend - they can choose any of the chords in the selected key and it will sound in tune, and at the same time you can select a scale of your own choice to improvise with to the chords selected.

Included is a section on every mode and how it fits theoretically into the music picture.

Play Guitar - Scale Finder
Scale Finder is designed for the advanced guitarist, providing a reference for pentatonics, modes, melodic minors, harmonic minors, major & minor blues as well as showing you chords that work in each key.

The purpose of Scale Finder is to help you work out what scales you can play in any key of your own choice. It calculates from the key you've selected the correct fret from which each scale starts. You can also select a scale, move it to any fret on the neck and Scale Finder will tell you what key the scale is in.

This means if your favourite guitarist mentions the Bb Phrygian mode for example, you can then change the Phrygian modes default starting note to Bb and Scale Finder will tell you your favourite guiatarist is actually in the key of Gb, and it will tell you that the relative minor is Eb minor.

Not only will it do this for you, but it will play any scale you desire in the key you've selected.

Wow this is great! I'm sure that my brother would love this for a gift to learn how to play the guitar.
